2 Week Count Down

Well it’s been a mad few week, Mike being here for a week ( thanks baby), finding some where to live(I love my little flat), work. And now it’s Chinese New Year and im in here in Shanghai on my own. With a one week Holiday in front on me! What to do? Well the first thing is explore! It’s important to get out and about; I could happily stay in with movies mainly because it’s sooo cold. But NO I will get my coat on and out the door I go. Wagas is the first stop and this is where I am at this moment typing away like Carrie in sex in the city, LOL.
This is one place I found which helps with the transition, it’s a coffee shop which does English tea, it’s not PG tips but its tea!!! And if you didn’t get it by now I need a nice brew to start the day and help me get on with what ever it is I need to get on with. O My God I am a TEA ADDICT, does that mean I have to go to rehab, is there a tea rehab. I could go on but I gone off the point.
Anyhow I’m off to Carrefour (French) today, that’s a supermarket in Shanghai which has everything. Like Asda Mart. But before that I think I’ll will have a wonder around. Need to find a book shop and get a map book, did try down loading onto my IPOD – NOTE to every you need an iphone in your life they are amazing really, I promise. Where was I yep I tried down loading a map app and couldn’t get a good one (don’t let that put you off because I managed to get a 101 book on my ipod, amazing)
CNY 13th Feb was madness by the way, the fire work and banger were something else, think bomefire night but 10times worse, they love the fireworks and have no qualms in setting them off in the middle of the street and road next to 35story buildings. Visualize this you on the 30th in your living room, looking at firework going off about 5metre from you windows. As well as the 10 dozen going off in the distant. It was great really beautifully mad…….
But after 4hours of this you do feel like you’re under attack.
Friday the 12th was a great night, I went out to dinner with a few expat and we end up going out to a bar, and then another bar (RnB) at about 2am where you could buy pizza with you brandy and coke, cool. So I’m on the dance floor with a slice of margarita get down to some funky tunes , LOL it could get a bit messy. But I will defiantly be going back….
